MARIONETTA
The issue of "growing" the mask is expressed in a series of works created in a puppet theater. Puppets, slumbering behind the scenes, hide a thousand manifestations until a stranger's hand touches them to make a reciprocal movement. Does the movement they are intended for really express their essence? Puppet theater attracts with its demonstrated embodiment. Isn't this the way where one reveals his or her many facets in response to external circumstances that pull their proverbial strings to reveal depths and make a choice? What does have to happen to someone in order to see his or her true self?
